Regulatory Security Upgrades

We are upgrading our security screening, undertaking regulatory upgrades to passenger and checked baggage screening, including the roll-out of body scanners and 3D x-ray bag scanners. The six new security lanes are now operational, delivering a consistent screening experience for our customers. 

Customers will no longer need to remove laptops, tablets or aerosols from their carry-on luggage when passing through the security checkpoint. Construction is now underway on a new anti pass-back which will be complete by the end of the year.

Adelaide Airport is also improving its security screening technology for checked-in baggage within the terminal’s main baggage handling system.
