Major Development Plans

A Major Development Plan (MPD) is the planning approval document required where a proposed development meets trigger criteria contained in Section 89 of the Airports Act 1996.

Examples of development that would trigger the preparation of an MDP include development with a value exceeding $25 million or development that it likely to have a significant impact on the environment or the local community. MDPs are subject to stakeholder and community consultation and Adelaide Airport will advertise all MDP’s below to provide the opportunity for feedback.
