Ground Transport Driver Account Terms and Conditions
The Driver must comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so may result in suspension or cancellation of the Account which would prevent the Driver from accessing the Designated Areas.

- Definitions
AAL means Adelaide Airport Limited ACN 075 176 653.
Account means a driver’s registered and valid profile on the Portal.
Airport means Adelaide Airport.
Airport Customer means an individual who is departing the Airport and includes all guests of the Atura Hotel at the Airport.
Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department means AAL’s Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department which is contactable at [email protected]
Car Park Office means AAL’s carpark office located at Adelaide Airport on the ground floor of the multistorey car park.
Access Token means the access control token (such as an access card) linked to the Driver’s Account for use in the Designated Areas.
Designated Areas means the designated Ground Transport pick up areas (including Ride Share, Taxi and Chauffeur pick up areas) located within designated parts of the Airport as notified to the Driver by AAL.
Driver means the applicant for an Account.
Driver Accreditation means the accreditation imposed by the South Australian Government or other relevant authority on Drivers.
Fees and Charges means all amounts payable under these Terms and Conditions
Portal means the Adelaide Airport Ground Transport Driver Portal, formerly known as ‘ParkCharge’.
Terms and Conditions means these Terms and Conditions as updated from time to time.
2. Application
a. Drivers should read these Terms and Conditions carefully before applying for an Account.
b. By applying for an Account and using an Access Token, the Driver agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions (in addition to any terms and conditions notified by its taxi, chauffeur or ride-share operator or terms of access to Adelaide Airport facilities).
c. AAL may alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and will provide reasonable notice of the changes to the Driver prior to the changes taking effect.
d. Any amendment to the Terms and Conditions will be notified to the Driver via their registered email address and otherwise by AAL updating the Terms and Conditions as listed on its website.
e. A Driver’s continued use of an Access Token following any amendment(s) to these Terms and Conditions constitutes their acceptance of such amendments.
f. If a Driver does not agree with any amendments to the Terms and Conditions, they must immediately cease using their Access Token.
3. Accounts
a. In order to access the Designated Areas, Drivers are required to create an Account within the Portal and to use an Access Token.
b. An Account can only be used by the issued Driver in the course of their provision of ridesharing, taxi and/or chauffeur services or where otherwise authorised by AAL. The Account does not constitute an authority to enter the Designated Areas for any other purpose.
c. An Account will only be authorised for Drivers who provide proof of their Driver Accreditation with their application. Accounts are unable to be authorised in the absence of this Driver Accreditation.
d. An Account is issued to the nominated Driver and cannot be transferred.
e. A limit of one Account per every Driver Accreditation applies.
A limit of one Account for a single email address applies.
g. If the Driver has a change of Driver Accreditation Number after the submission of an application they must notify the Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department and provide a copy of the valid Driver Accreditation as soon as possible on receipt of the new Driver Accreditation
h. In the event that a Driver’s Accreditation ceases, the Driver must:
i. cease using the Account and notify AAL as soon as reasonably practicable; and
return the Access Token to AAL’s Car Park Office as soon as practical.
ii. If there are any other changes in a Driver’s circumstances than as otherwise advised to AAL as part of the application process, the
Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department must be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
j. Should the Driver no longer require the Account, the Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department must be notified and any Access Tokens must be returned to the Car Park Office within 7 calendar days.
k. AAL reserve the right to suspend or cancel any Account which has not been:
i. Used for access to the Designated Areas for a period of greater than two years, or
ii. Activated (an Access Token has been assigned to the Account and Account setup is completed) in the Portal within six months of the Driver being notified by AAL that the:
a) Access Token is ready for collection, or
b)The Access Token has been sent to the Driver’s nominated postal address, or
c) Driver Application has been approved.
l. In the event that Access Token is cancelled in accordance with clause k, any credit balance on the Account will be refunded to the registered payment card under clauses 5 j, k and l.
m. AAL reserves the right to suspend further issue of Access Tokens to any Driver who has not returned Access Tokens which have expired or are no longer required.
4. Access Tokens
a. The Access Token must be used each time the Driver enters and exits from the Designated Areas.
b. The Access Token can be used by the Driver registered on the Account which is linked to the Access Token and cannot be transferred.
c. Drivers holding an existing Access Token must surrender their previous Access Token (if any) on collection of a new Access Token.
d. The Access Token must not be altered in any way and remains the property of AAL at all times.
5. Fees and Charges
a. All Fees and Charges referred to in these Terms and Conditions are as set out in the Schedule of Fees and Charges. b. Drivers are required to pay a non-refundable administration fee to apply for an Account (Application Fee).
c. Access Tokens incur a non-refundable Access Token fee (Access Token Fee).
d. A monthly administration fee will be debited to each Account on the first day of each calendar month. The monthly administration fee will continue to be charged until an Account is cancelled or suspended (Monthly Administration Fee).
e. Drivers will be charged an access fee for every exit from the Designated Areas (Access Fee).
SMS fees (SMS Fees) will be charged per SMS sent to a Driver. Drivers can opt out from receiving SMS correspondence at any time via the Portal.
Drivers with an Account balance less than or equal to $0.00 will not be permitted access to the Designated Areas.
Accounts which have not been used for 90 days will be blocked. Unblocking an Account will incur an Account reactivation fee (Account Reactivation Fee).
i. Accounts which have been inactive/blocked for 2 years will be permanently cancelled and any credit balance on the Account will be refunded to the Driver’s registered payment card under clauses 5 j, k and l.
j. Drivers must apply to the Ground Transport Driver Customer Service Department for any refund of the credit balance attributed to their Account.
K. Refunds must be applied for within 90 days of an Account being cancelled.
l. Refunds will be processed by AAL within 90 days of receipt of a valid refund application.
Fees and Charges are subject to change at the discretion of AAL Management. Any amendments will be notified to the Driver via their registered email address on not less than 10 days’ notice.
6. Payment
a. Payment of the Fees and Charges must be made by credit card using the cards shown on the Portal.
b. By completing an application for an Account, the Driver authorises AAL to charge the nominated credit card for the amount of the relevant Fees and Charges.
c. The Driver warrants that they have the necessary rights to use and authorise debits from the credit card nominated by them.
d. AAL’s payment processing authority uses 128 bit SSL encryption. Nonetheless no data transmitted over the Internet is secure, and AAL does not warrant the security of data.
e. Drivers transmit data over the Internet entirely at their own risk.
7. Designated Areas
a. Drivers must collect all Airport Customers from the Designated Areas.
b. The Driver must comply with all parking signs, bay markings, permit zones and all reasonable directions issued to you by AAL or its representatives in relation to the Designated Areas.
c. The Driver must not park their vehicle so as to obstruct or permit the obstruction of the free passage to, or the use of, the Designated Areas.
d. AAL reserves the right to remove any obstructing vehicle if necessary for operational and safety reasons. AAL will not be liable for any damage to a Driver’s vehicle, persons or property which may occur on such removal except to the extent caused by or contributed to by the negligence of AAL or its officers, employees, agents or contractors. The Driver will be liable for all costs incurred with such removal.
e. Where applicable, the Driver must ensure that their parked vehicle is securely locked and the ignition key removed.
f. The Driver must remain within their vehicle while in the Designated Areas at all times unless:
i. To assist an Airport Customer to load luggage into the Driver’s vehicle, or;
ii. To provide assistance to an Airport Customer to enter the Driver’s vehicle, or;
iii. The Driver parks a vehicle with MV licence plates in the designated ‘Chauffeur Pickup Area’ and is greeting the Airport Customer in the Terminal; or
iv. In emergency situations or where otherwise directed to by Adelaide Airport.
g. The Driver must not do anything or omit to do anything:
i. Which would be reasonably likely to constitute a nuisance, annoyance, or danger to any person or to any portion of the Airport or which interferes with the use and enjoyment of the common areas of the Airport by members of the public and other tenants, licensees, staff, and users of the Airport;
ii. Which contaminates or pollutes the Airport, including allowing their vehicle to spill or leak oil; or
iii. to damage or destroy anything on Airport property.
h. AAL reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend a Driver from accessing the Designated Area in the event of breach or material breach of these Terms and Conditions which remains unremedied following reasonable notice by AAL.
8. Breach
a. If, in AAL’s reasonable opinion, a Driver breaches any provision of these Terms and Conditions, or fails to follow any reasonable direction from AAL regarding use of an Access Token or the Designated Areas, AAL may issue a warning, temporarily suspend or permanently prevent the Driver’s access to the Designated Areas (including by revoking the Driver’s Account and Access Token)
b. In the event the Driver disagrees with the decision to suspend or revoke access to the Designated Areas due to breach of the Terms and Condition (Breach), the Driver can issue a review request of the Breach to [email protected]. Review requests will be reviewed by AAL based on supporting evidence provided by the Driver. The reasons for the Breach being upheld or withdrawn will be provided to the Driver within 30 days of the last item of supporting evidence being provided to AAL.
9. Risk
a. A Driver’s use of the Designated Areas is at the Driver’s own risk and the Driver remains responsible for their vehicle and any property in or on it.
b. Except to the extent required by law, AAL will not be liable for:
i. the safe custody of any vehicle in the Designated Area; or
ii. the delivery of the Driver’s vehicle to any person, whether that person has authority to take it or not; or
iii. any theft, loss or damage to any vehicle or its accessories or contents; or
iv. any damage to a Driver’s property, injury or death whilst the Driver, their vehicle or their property is in the Designated Areas or whilst the Driver is entering or leaving the Designated Areas,
except to the extent caused by or contributed to by the negligence of AAL or its officers, employees, agents or contractors.
c. The Driver releases and indemnifies AAL from any claim against AAL or expense incurred by AAL arising from the Driver’s use of the Designated Areas or from AAL removing their vehicle from it, except to the extent caused by or contributed to by the negligence of AAL or its officers, employees, agents or contractors.
10. Personal Information
a. AAL collects a Driver’s personal information when a Driver completes an application to be issued an Account, or otherwise provides it to AAL.
b. AAL will handle the Driver’s personal information for purposes associated with their use of an Account and access to the Designated Areas and as set out in these Terms and Conditions. Without this information, AAL cannot process a Driver’s application.
c. AAL may also collect other personal information when the Driver uses the Designated Areas (including a Driver’s image, licence plate number, location and movements and other information, through CCTV surveillance, number plate recognition and access control technology) which is used at Adelaide Airport including the Designated Areas for security, ground transport, traffic management and car parking related purposes.
d. AAL may also collect information related to an Account for the purposes of monitoring any misuse of the Account and disclose a Driver’s personal information and information relating to a Driver’s use of the Designated Areas for the purposes of identifying, and recovering any costs associated with, any misuse of the Account or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
e. AAL may disclose a Driver’s personal information to the relevant ride share, taxi or chauffeur operator for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions and the operation of the Designated Areas.
f. AAL does not store credit card details in the platform. The platform includes a credit card processing function, which will store your credit card details through a secure external service. As such your credit card details are not stored on or through the AAL platform, and there is no way for these details to be retrieved by us or our staff.
g. AAL is required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and handles personal information in accordance with AAL’s Privacy Policy. A copy can be located at https://www.adelaideairport.com.au/privacy/
h. By lodging an application to be issued an Account, the Driver consents to the use of their personal information as outlined above and as contained in AAL’s Privacy Policy.
11. General
a. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is illegal or unenforceable, that part is to be disregarded, and its removal will not affect the rest of the Terms and Conditions.
b. All amounts set out in the Terms and Conditions are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST (as applicable).
c. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
d. No waiver of any term of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and AAL’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
