BOOKED, ACCESS AND MAXI TAXIS

What is changing?

Due to upcoming construction works the existing booked taxi, access taxi and maxi taxi passenger pick-up area will be relocated to dedicated bays within the taxi rank facility.

The passenger pick-up area for booked, access and maxi taxis will be relocated to dedicated bays within the taxi rank facility. The location of the new passenger pick-up area is immediately adjacent to the existing location; maintaining a consistent experience for your passengers.

New traffic control measures will be implemented at the taxi layoff and the entrance to the taxi rank to support seamless access to the taxi rank for booked, access and maxi taxis.

When is it changing?

The existing pick-up area will be decommissioned at 12:01am Thursday 22 May 2025. All passenger collections are to be made from the new area from this time.

Where is the new booked, access and maxi taxi pick-up area?

Booked, access and maxi taxi bays will be located at the end of the taxi rank – all bays will be line marked as dedicated booked, access and maxi taxi bays and supported by additional signage.

How do I access the new booked, access and maxi taxi pick-up area?

 For booked vehicles

  1. Taxi to present at gate 3 (entrance to the taxi rank)
  2. Driver to press intercom – state they are a booked taxi and provide serial number located at the bottom right on back of access card
  3. The AAL Booth operator will facilitate the driver entering the rank
  4. The driver will exit rank as per standard procedure

For unbooked maxi and access taxis called up from the lay-off:

  1. Taxi to present at the gate 2 (taxi layoff) through the linemarked access/maxi taxi sliplane
  2. Taxi to proceed directly to gate 3 (entrance to taxi rank) and approach the gate via the dedicated access/maxi taxi sliplane
  3. Taxi to proceed through gate 3 as per standard procedure

Are there any changes at the taxi rank for standard taxis?

Standard taxis will need to give way to booked, access and maxi taxis at gate 2 (taxi layoff) and gate 3 (entrance to the taxi rank) and follow any instructions as provided by an AAL Customer Service Officer.

Additional traffic controls will be introduced at the entrance to the taxi rank to improve traffic flow, including ‘no standing’ areas between gate 3 (entrance to the taxi rank) and the rank. Please adhere to all traffic controls to ensure a seamless experience for all drivers.

How can I get assistance?

AAL Customer Service Officers will be available at the taxi layoff between the morning and afternoon peak to assist drivers at this facility.

AAL Customer Service Officers are also stationed at the taxi rank 7 days a week between 7am and 11.15pm or after last flight and can provide assistance at the taxi rank.

What do I have to do?

Please adhere to all signage at all times, and be mindful and respectful of increased traffic on Atura Circuit.

Where is the taxi drop-off location?

The taxi drop-off location is located at Atura Circuit. Please see the map below for further information.
